Tidal Catalog #1 (Update 1): David Bowie

The fun part of these Tidal catalogs is that they are living documents. As new official records get released, I will go ahead and update them moving forward so that it always stays current. You can reference the original post, here.

We seem to be getting a lot of these Jones/Tintoretto Entertainment company (I believe these are the copyright owners and a branch of Parlaphone) releases from Bowie recently – as a set of demos was released only a few months ago.

This is a quick, 6-song EP called The Clareville Grove Demos, recorded with John Hutchinson back in the late 60s. Much cleaner and significantly better than the previous demo release, this features the final demo version of “Space Odyssey” as well as “Ching-A-Ling” which was recorded by Bowie’s group Turquoise back in 1968 and a cover of a song called “Life Is a Circus.”

The 7″ box set was apparently released in May and now we get graced with the digital version.

I’m going to slot this in the original order at a 5.5/10 because it’s only for true, true diehards and there’s no way I can justify putting this above most of his full studio albums

  • The Clareville Grove Demos (5.5)

Summary (updated): 45 total albums, Average 7.4
